What's up everyone! A few weeks ago, I went to an event hosted by the Black Student Union on campus. It was in celebration of Black History Month and had a 90s dress code. We were all sooo excited to dress up for the event since most of us are 90s babies, and this blog post is dedicated to the outfit I put together with what I had in my closet!
First, I scanned my closet for a statement 90s piece and pulled out these overalls from Zara. Nothing shouts 90s like overalls, a lot of denim, or a combination both! Next, I brainstormed some looks from the 90s that I liked- here's a gist of what I was thinking:

The white bra is a classic, I gravitated towards it as soon as I picked out the overalls.
Then I threw on a denim jacket to go with my denim overalls- go big or go home.
I accessorized with a crystal choker and gold hoop earrings because they were 90s essentials. Since I'm on the shorter side and the overalls are extra long on me, I put on my go-to black booties to add some length to the look. It also helps to modernize the look a bit and makes it more wearable on a day to day basis. If you want to go all out, I'd say to wear a pair of white sneakers- the Adidas Originals are a good fit for the look (see below)
